ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Jose Reinardo Rosado, 45, was arrested Sunday night after allegedly attacking a tow truck driver in Orlando during a dispute over his girlfriend’s car.
According to deputies, the incident took place around 10:30 p.m. near Ashton at Waterford Lakes Apartments. The tow truck driver was in the process of hooking up a vehicle without a parking decal when Rosado intervened.
Deputies say Rosado cut the towing strap with a knife, threatened the driver, and struck him in the forehead with the tow truck’s remote control. Rosado then took the truck keys and attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended nearby.
Authorities recovered the knife and keys, and the victim positively identified Rosado as the attacker. The tow truck driver was treated at the scene for injuries sustained during the confrontation.
Rosado now faces multiple felony charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, robbery with a deadly weapon, battery, criminal mischief, and petit theft. He has been booked into the Orange County Jail.
