LAREDO, Texas —
A man wanted on a felony theft warrant out of Garland, Texas was arrested at the Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge on July 20, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials.
Julio Delgado-Hernandez, 55, an immigrant residing in the U.S., was referred to secondary inspection during routine processing. Biometric verification through federal law enforcement databases revealed an outstanding felony warrant issued by the Garland Police Department.
The warrant was for theft of property valued between $2,500 and $30,000, a state jail felony under Texas law.
Following his arrest, Delgado-Hernandez was turned over to the Webb County Sheriff’s Office and later released on a $30,000 bond the same day.
The case remains under the jurisdiction of Garland authorities, and further legal proceedings are expected.
