
WILMINGTON, DE — Two Wilmington men have been arrested after a months-long investigation into a series of vehicle break-ins that spanned several communities in New Castle County, according to authorities.
Cedrick Facon, 26, and Sadir Black, 22, were identified as the primary suspects in break-ins reported between May and July 2025 in neighborhoods including Christiana Farms Townhomes and Coopers Place in Newark, Mermaid Run Condos in Wilmington, and Forest Glen in Bear.
On August 22, 2025, the New Castle County Division of Police, along with the U.S. Marshals Task Force, located both suspects at a Claymont motel on Governor Printz Boulevard. During a search warrant execution, officers recovered a handgun and numerous stolen items linked to the crimes.
Facon faces numerous charges including:
5 felony counts of third-degree burglary
5 felony counts of second-degree conspiracy
Possession of a firearm by a person prohibited
Receiving stolen property
Multiple misdemeanor charges for theft and fraudulent use of payment cards
Outstanding warrants from other Delaware agencies
He was arraigned and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $101,500 cash bail.
Black faces similar charges, including:
5 felony counts of third-degree burglary
6 felony counts of second-degree conspiracy
Possession of a firearm by a person prohibited
Receiving stolen property
Several misdemeanors related to theft, conspiracy, and unlawful use of a payment card
Outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions
He was also arraigned and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $55,000 cash bail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
