The Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) have jointly apprehended Sk. Abdul Rahman, a thief who targeted passengers on running trains. According to GRP Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) G. Ratna Raju, the accused has committed multiple thefts on various trains before evading capture.
During a press briefing on Thursday, DSP Ratna Raju revealed that Abdul Rahman, a resident of Sangadigunta in Guntur, was involved in a theft on the A1 coach of the Bhagat Ki Kothi–MGR Chennai Central Super Fast Express on August 16. The swift action by railway police has put an end to the thief’s spree, ensuring safer journeys for passengers.
