A 24-year-old chef, Olusola Folorunso, and a 47-year-old security guard, Rafiu Mutairu, have been arrested by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly stealing property worth N5.5 million from their employer. The suspects were apprehended last Friday in the Badagry and Ishasi areas of Lagos, respectively.

According to the police, Folorunso and Mutairu, who worked together for the same employer at a popular estate in Ojodu, Ikeja, are accused of stealing and selling off several items while their boss was away on a foreign trip in September 2024.

The stolen items included 5 split air conditioners, a chest freezer, a pumping machine, a fridge, one inverter, and jewelry, all valued at N5.5 million. The Commander of the RRS, CSP Shola Jejeloye, has directed that the suspects be charged in court.
