OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – A 40-year-old man is facing serious charges after Ocala police discovered drugs, a stolen gun, and thousands in cash inside his van.
Officers became suspicious when they noticed Emory Manning parked for several hours outside the Sunshine Food Mart on Northeast 25th Avenue Monday night. Upon investigation, they found Manning asleep behind the wheel.
Inside the vehicle, police uncovered multiple types of drugs, a stolen firearm, and more than $3,000 in cash. Manning was arrested and is now facing nearly a dozen charges related to drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession.
He is currently being held without bond as the investigation continues.
