Dholpur, Rajasthan: In a dramatic incident, Rajasthan Police arrested Supriyo Mukherjee, a man from West Bengal, for impersonating an Additional Director General (ADG) while traveling through Dholpur on Wednesday. The accused was found driving a car marked ‘Government of India’, equipped with a blue beacon, three-star insignia, and forged identity documents.

According to Circle Officer Munesh Meena, Mukherjee claimed to be affiliated with the ‘National Security Cop’—a fictitious organization. When questioned, he tried to intimidate police officers but was quickly exposed. His vehicle was searched, and authorities recovered dummy firearms, forged IDs, and electronic equipment.

During interrogation, Mukherjee confessed that his motive was to avoid toll taxes and impress people with his false identity. The car and seized materials have been impounded for further investigation.

The police are now verifying whether he had used his fake persona elsewhere and whether others were complicit in the act.
