Bath, NY – A stolen motorcycle investigation in the Village of Bath has resulted in two arrests and multiple felony and misdemeanor drug charges, police reported.
At approximately 1:26 a.m. on August 20, a Bath Police Department officer observed a motorcycle with switched license plates parked on West Steuben Street. Two individuals were standing nearby.
The motorcycle was confirmed stolen from the City of Corning, and both people present were found to be in possession of it.
Victoria M. Morgan, 41, who is homeless, was arrested and charged with:
Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree (Class E felony)
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree (Class A misdemeanor, methamphetamine)
She was processed and later released after arraignment at the Steuben County Jail.
Robert E.M. Wright, 43, of Campbell, initially fled the scene but was apprehended without incident on August 22 on Cruger Street. He was charged with:
Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree (Class E felony)
Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree (Class A misdemeanor)
Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree (Class A misdemeanors – Suboxone and Hydrocodone)
Wright was taken to the Steuben County Jail, where he remains in custody pending arraignment.
