Andrew Joel Irvine Arrested for $76K Casino Theft in Colorado

Cripple Creek police recover stolen funds with interagency help

CRIPPLE CREEK, Colo. — A Colorado Springs man has been arrested in connection with a theft of over $76,000 from J.P. McGill’s Casino in Cripple Creek.

According to the Cripple Creek Police Department, $76,800 was stolen early Monday morning. The suspect, 26-year-old Andrew Joel Irvine, was arrested later the same day and is currently being held at the Teller County Jail.

Cripple Creek police are leading the investigation, with assistance from the Colorado Springs Police Department and the Colorado Division of Gaming.

“This case demonstrates the strength of interagency cooperation,” said Cripple Creek Police Chief Charles Bright. “We appreciate the support and professionalism of our partners at the Colorado Division of Gaming and the Colorado Springs Police Department.”

Charges against Irvine are pending and will be filed by the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. The investigation remains ongoing.
