GLENVIEW, Ill. – A third suspect has been charged in connection with a violent armed robbery that took place in April outside a Glenview home and was captured on a Ring doorbell camera.
30-year-old Montreal Carr was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with armed robbery with a firearm. He joins Angelo B. Hatter, 26, and Amarion Ray-Williams as the third and final suspect in the case. Carr is scheduled for a conditions hearing in Cook County court and will be transferred to the custody of the Cook County Sheriff’s Department.
The robbery happened around 10 p.m. on April 21 in the 1700 block of Bluestem Lane. Victims Greg Poulos and Angie Beltsos Poulos had just returned home when they were ambushed by three masked men with guns. The suspects ordered the couple to lie down “execution style” and pointed guns directly at them.
The robbers stole cash, a purse, two cellphones, a wallet, clothing, and about $60,000 worth of jewelry before fleeing the scene in a Jaguar SUV, which was later found abandoned in Chicago.
The entire incident was caught on Ring video. In the footage, Greg Poulos can be heard calmly cooperating, saying, “You got it. Here. Take it. Take everything.” He later credited his Navy training in de-escalation for helping him survive the terrifying ordeal.
Angie described the moment as life-threatening: “At that moment, I thought this might be the end… [the guns] were pointed directly at us.”
Police confirmed that all three suspects face identical charges of armed robbery, and the investigation is ongoing.
