Gautampura Police Recover 850 Feet of Stolen Aluminium Wire

In a major breakthrough, Gautampura police on Wednesday arrested three individuals accused of stealing aluminium electrical wires worth nearly Rs8.75 lakh. The arrested have been identified as Shubham (18) from Bisanavda, Jackie (27) from Chhota Betma, and Ajay (21) from Gommatgiri.

Indore Rural SP Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia stated that the arrests followed a tip-off received on July 30. During interrogation, the trio admitted to selling the stolen wires to Santari and Mamu, both residents of Betma, who are currently on the run. Police efforts are underway to apprehend the absconding suspects and recover the remaining loot.

From the accused, police recovered:

850 feet of aluminium electrical wire (~50 kg), worth Rs4.75 lakh

A wire cutter valued at Rs1,000

A pick-up vehicle (MP 09 GE 7900) worth Rs4 lakh

The stolen wires have been linked to multiple thefts reported at Gautampura Police Station and booked under BNS Section 303(2).
