PLANO, Texas — Plano police have arrested three suspects — Miguel Hernandez, Salvador Hernandez, and Oscar Valdez Garcia — in connection with a high-end auto theft ring involving six luxury vehicles worth nearly $1.5 million.
The arrests followed a coordinated investigation with Texas DPS, Dallas Police, and the FBI. The bust also yielded firearms, body armor, auto theft tools, and evidence the suspects were producing fake paper tags.
The investigation began on June 6, when a 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre was stolen from a valet stand in west Plano. Surveillance footage showed the suspects using a 2025 Mercedes S63 AMG, which was already flagged by state authorities.
On June 11, SWAT teams raided two homes in the Alto Garden area of South Dallas, where police recovered:
Rolls-Royce Spectre
Rolls-Royce Cullinan
Cadillac Escalade-V
Maserati Levante
Audi RS7
Additional tools and weaponry
All six vehicles were confirmed stolen via VIN verification and have since been returned to their owners.
Plano Police say Oscar Valdez Garcia, who was staying at one of the raided homes, had 15 active felony warrants including charges for burglary, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and evading arrest. He remains in custody without bond.
The other two suspects, Miguel Hernandez and Salvador Hernandez, have since bonded out.
Authorities are still investigating what the suspects intended to do with the stolen vehicles.
“It was a combination of good investigative work and collaboration across agencies,” said Jerry Minton, Public Information Officer for Plano Police. “We were able to recover multiple high-value vehicles and apprehend the suspects at the same time.”
