LOUISIANA, Mo. — Two northeast Missouri men have been arrested in connection with the theft of a 4-wheeler in Lewis County earlier this year.

The incident occurred sometime in May 2025, and by early June, the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office had contacted the Louisiana Police Department regarding a suspect believed to be in the area.

After conducting an investigation, authorities identified Grant A. Baker, 36, of Kirksville, and Tyreck D. Porter, 27, of Louisiana, as suspects. Both men were found to be in possession of the stolen ATV, which has since been returned to its rightful owner.

On June 27, Baker and Porter were taken into custody and transported to the Pike County Jail. Baker has been charged with stealing and tampering with a motor vehicle, while Porter faces a charge of tampering with a motor vehicle.

Both are being held on $10,000 cash-only bonds as the case proceeds through the legal system.
