WALDO, Fla. (WCJB) — Two individuals have been arrested in North Central Florida after deputies tracked down a vehicle reported stolen from Pennsylvania.
According to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a tip regarding the stolen vehicle, which was seen traveling on U.S. Highway 301 near Waldo.
Deputies quickly located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, taking Crystal Hehnly, 45, and James Weaver, 36, into custody without incident.
Both Hehnly and Weaver are facing grand theft auto charges and are currently being held at the Alachua County Jail.
Authorities have not yet released additional details about the circumstances of the theft, but the investigation is ongoing.
