by Amelia Crawford

PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. — Dante Draper, a Kansas City man previously charged in Jackson County for his involvement in an organized burglary ring, now faces additional charges in Platte County.

Court documents filed June 13 allege Draper committed two counts of second-degree burglary, one count of felony stealing, and two counts of first-degree property damage related to break-ins on April 22. Draper is accused of unlawfully entering KC Cannabis and Sunrise Dispensary with the intent to steal.

Authorities say Draper stole over $750 worth of cannabis products from Sunrise Dispensary and caused damage by shattering glass doors at both locations.

Draper and four other men are reportedly part of a burglary ring linked to at least 100 nonresidential burglaries across the Kansas City metro area.
