Barnagar police arrested five individuals linked to an interstate gang for stealing construction equipment valued at Rs 29 lakh. The operation was supported by Cyber Cell Ujjain, Bhopal police, and Hoshangabad police, resulting in a coordinated breakthrough.
On Wednesday, Rajesh Barod of Barnagar reported the theft of a Holland machine support vehicle and approximately thirty-five 18-foot iron rods from his plot during the night. Police registered case number 338/2025 under Section 303(2) BNS and launched a thorough investigation.
Technical analysis revealed that the theft was orchestrated by an organized interstate criminal network. Authorities arrested all five suspects on the Bhopal-Betul highway, recovering the stolen Holland vehicle (registration KA-01-AB-7790) and all 35 iron rods.
The arrested suspects are:
Ajay Panwar (25) from Chhindwara
Kunwar Singh alias Akhilesh (22)
Ratan Singh alias Bablu (24)
Neeraj Kumar Korche (21) from Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, Chhattisgarh
T Srinivasan (44) from Tamil Nadu
Inspector Ashok Kumar Patidar led the successful operation, assisted by SI Jaideep Rathore, ASI Rajendra Singh Hada, Shaitan Singh Dindor, and constable Yuvraj.
The recovered items are valued at approximately Rs 29 lakh, and further investigation into the gang’s activities is underway.
