BOISE, Idaho — Two men were arrested Wednesday afternoon in Boise on felony charges linked to a theft at an Ulta Beauty store in Burley, with one suspect allegedly connected to a nationwide retail theft spree.

Yerman Sierra Aguilar, 37, was charged with grand theft and burglary after allegedly stealing merchandise worth over $1,500 from an Ulta Beauty store on North Milwaukee Street in Boise. According to Boise Police, Aguilar is suspected in at least 195 separate thefts from Ulta stores across multiple states.

The second suspect, Liester Queralta Moya, 33, of Houston, was arrested and charged with criminal conspiracy. Investigators say Moya acted as the getaway driver, waiting outside in a vehicle while Aguilar committed the theft.

The arrests were made possible after Ulta Beauty employees in Burley reported a theft and provided crucial suspect and vehicle information to Boise Police. Acting on the alert, officers with BPD’s Organized Retail Crime Unit surveilled the Boise location.

According to police, Aguilar entered the store and exited just minutes later with more than $1,500 in unpaid merchandise. Officers were waiting nearby and arrested both suspects shortly after.

Aguilar and Moya were booked into the Ada County Jail, and the investigation is ongoing.
