SCHENECTADY, NY — Anthony Sindoni, 37, of Schenectady, pleaded guilty to serious drug trafficking and firearms charges, according to U.S. Attorney John A. Sarcone III and DEA Special Agent in Charge Frank A. Tarentino III of the New York Field Division.
Sindoni admitted to possessing three firearms—a Keltec P-32 .32 caliber pistol, a Polymer 80 PF940C 9mm pistol, and a Mossberg 20-gauge shotgun—in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
He also acknowledged intent to distribute the following narcotics:
754 grams of methamphetamine
520 grams of fentanyl
454 grams of cocaine
17 grams of heroin
These quantities indicate high-level distribution, placing Sindoni at the center of a multi-drug trafficking operation.
He now faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years, with the possibility of life imprisonment, a $10 million fine, and 5 years to life of supervised release. Final sentencing will be determined by a federal judge, based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutory considerations.
This plea marks another significant step in federal efforts to combat narcotics and firearm-related crime in upstate New York.
