BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — A woman wanted in connection with a 2023 credit card theft case has been arrested after being involved in another recent theft incident.
Treshaunti Brown is now facing multiple charges, including felony identity fraud, felony theft, and misuse of a credit card, a first-degree misdemeanor. She was taken into custody Monday on a warrant issued in September 2023.
The original investigation began on September 13, 2023, when a man contacted police to report fraudulent charges on his credit card shortly after ordering food at a local Wendy’s. The man reported charges for Walmart, an entertainment website, and nearly $95 at Burger King. He suspected that the Wendy’s cashier may have taken a photo of his credit card and misused it.
Police were able to identify the suspect as Treshaunti Brown, who had since left her position at Wendy’s. A manager confirmed she was no longer employed at the restaurant.
On Monday, Brown resurfaced during a theft in progress at a store on Boardman-Canfield Road, where she was identified and arrested. She now also faces an additional misdemeanor theft charge for that incident.
Brown was arraigned on Tuesday morning and is scheduled to appear in court again for a pretrial hearing on June 10.
