The Afzalgunj police on Tuesday arrested four individuals involved in a series of gold chain thefts across Hyderabad. Police recovered 2.5 tolas of stolen gold chains from their possession.
The arrested have been identified as:
Kamble Srinu (32 years)
Md Mahboob (36 years)
Vemula Srinu (45 years)
Kamble Vikas (22 years)
They were apprehended while attempting to sell stolen jewellery in the Gowliguda area.
According to police, the group was part of a larger theft gang, with three additional members — Vijay, Karan, and Saddam — still on the run. Efforts are underway to track and apprehend the absconding suspects.
The arrests are part of ongoing efforts by Hyderabad police to curb property crimes and chain snatching incidents in the city. Investigations are ongoing to trace the full extent of the gang’s operations and recover any additional stolen property.
