The Thane Police have successfully arrested four members of a notorious gang, including two women, solving 29 criminal cases spanning chain snatching, vehicle thefts, robberies, and house break-ins across Thane and Navi Mumbai. The arrested individuals belong to the Irani and Shikalgar gangs and have been terrorizing the area for months.

Police recovered gold, two-wheelers, and cash valued at Rs36.29 lakh during the operation. The gang had been targeting vulnerable individuals, especially elderly women, to snatch their valuables.
The Crime Branch Unit-3 of Kalyan conducted a meticulous investigation, aided by technical surveillance and credible intelligence, leading to the suspects’ capture. Investigations continue, and police are working on uncovering further crimes tied to the gang, as well as connections to other criminal networks in the region.
