SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A Springfield man is facing charges after allegedly stealing over $2,400 from a Dollar General store where he worked.
According to court documents, Tyler Ferguson, born in 2000, has been charged with stealing $750 or more, a felony offense, in Greene County Circuit Court.
Ferguson, a sales associate at the Dollar General, is accused of using a Chime barcode to carry out the theft between November 23 and December 10, 2024. A witness reported the activity and provided video surveillance footage to police, which supported the allegations.
In a written statement, Ferguson allegedly admitted to the theft totaling $2,437.40.
He is scheduled to appear in court for an initial hearing on June 13.
