Guwahati police made a series of significant arrests today, targeting individuals involved in various criminal activities such as drug trafficking and theft.
Dispur Police conducted a raid at the dump yard of Sahidul Islam in the ABC area, where they recovered several valuable items, including five bell metal bowls, a brass glass, three large aluminium saucepans, three pressure cookers, a large aluminium gumla, 17 pieces of copper wire, and two gas stoves.
In a separate incident, Basistha Police arrested Sukur Ali for stealing iron rods in the Behabari area. Police recovered 25 kg of stolen iron from his possession.
Basistha police also raided a hideout at Saokuchi, arresting two drug peddlers, Ashidur Islam (28) and Saran Roy. The police seized a total of 6.937 kg of ganja from the suspects.
Meanwhile, Bharalumukh Police arrested Ibrahim Ali and Kuran Ali, two drug peddlers from Barpeta, at Kumarpara in Guwahati. The police recovered 14 vials of heroin weighing 19.1 grams from their possession.
These arrests showcase the ongoing efforts of Guwahati Police to tackle criminal activities, including drug trafficking and theft, in the region.
