In a major bust by the Commissioner’s South West Zone Task Force and Amberpet Police, three individuals were arrested for possessing narcotics worth Rs3.35 lakh. The seized substances included six grams of cocaine, 15 grams of MDMA, two LSD blots, and three mobile phones.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Solomon Susai Raj (33), Shaik Ghouse (34), and Kannakenti Mahesh (25). The trio was apprehended while attempting to sell the drugs in Amberpet.
Solomon Susai Raj, the primary accused, has a long history of involvement in drug-related crimes. He was previously arrested under the NDPS Act by Ameerpet Excise Police in 2021 and LB Nagar Police in 2023. During his imprisonment at Cherlapally Jail, he met Shaik Ghouse, who had been incarcerated for a ganja-related case. The two reportedly formed a connection and continued their illegal activities after their release.
The police are now investigating the extent of the narcotics network they were operating and whether there are additional individuals involved. The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement in tackling drug-related crimes in the city.
