GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) – A 17-year-old boy was injured and two 18-year-old suspects are facing serious charges after a drive-by shooting in Gulfport on Saturday, March 29.
Gulfport police say the shooting occurred around 6:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of 57th Avenue. Officers arrived at the scene to find the teenage victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital, and authorities say his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Later that day, police located two suspects — identified as De’Jay May and Robert Taylor Jr. — traveling in a stolen vehicle. The pair fled but were eventually apprehended and taken into custody.
Both suspects were booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing, and Gulfport Police have not yet released a motive for the shooting.
