HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Authorities arrested Samuel Parker following an investigation into fentanyl distribution in Evansville. The Evansville Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force initiated the probe in August 2024, with a confidential informant purchasing approximately 5 grams of fentanyl from Parker.

Parker was apprehended during a traffic stop on Thursday, where officers discovered three pizza boxes containing drugs in a dumpster near the scene. The boxes, which had Parker’s name on them, contained fentanyl. Additionally, officers found a bag of fentanyl in the dumpster.

A subsequent search of Parker’s residence uncovered fentanyl hidden in multiple locations and over 350 grams of marijuana.

Parker is now facing a range of charges.
