Three Men Arrested for Stealing Car in Montgomery County, MD

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Three men were arrested in Montgomery County for stealing a Toyota RAV4 on Jan. 1, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD).

Russell Bowie, Jr., 32, of Silver Spring, Momodou Samba, 26, of Rockville, and Phillip Laguerre, 34, of Rockville were arrested after MCPD officers spotted the stolen car driving on Randolph Road on the morning of Jan. 14. Upon stopping the vehicle, detectives discovered the three men inside.

The stolen car had been taken from a neighborhood in Silver Spring.

Authorities also revealed that Samba had an outstanding arrest warrant for violating his armed robbery probation. In addition to the car theft, the three suspects were linked to several other thefts, including a theft at a Lowe’s in Prince George’s County, as well as other vehicle and copper thefts across Montgomery County.

All three suspects were charged with unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, rogue and vagabond, and theft-related charges.
