The Mangaluru police have made a significant breakthrough in the daring bank robbery case that took place three days ago. Authorities arrested three key suspects, including the alleged leader, Murugandi Thevar, aged 36, in connection with the heist.
The robbery occurred in Mangaluru, where the gang successfully stole gold and cash valued at nearly Rs10 crore. After the robbery, the thieves fled the city and traveled to Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu with an estimated 12 kg of gold, as well as a large sum of cash.
According to the police, the gang, led by Thevar, had driven from Mumbai to Mangaluru to carry out the robbery. The swift arrest of the three key suspects marks a significant achievement for the Mangaluru police as they continue to investigate the crime.
