The Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit has made an arrest in connection with the theft of power tools valued at thousands of dollars. On January 13, deputies responded to a breaking and entering incident on State Highway 199 in Upper Sandusky, where it was discovered that several power tools had been stolen from the property.

After gathering information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts and vehicle, detectives began surveillance on an address in Marion, Ohio. They observed a male, later identified as Michael L. Cummings, leaving the residence with several of the stolen tools.

Cummings was detained by authorities, and a search of his residence uncovered additional stolen items. The case will be forwarded to the Wyandot County Prosecutor’s Office, where Cummings faces charges of breaking and entering, as well as felony theft.
