In a significant drug bust, the crime branch of Indore police apprehended two drug traffickers and confiscated a large quantity of narcotics. The seized contraband included around 102 grams of MD drugs, 1.46 kg of hashish, and 3.8 kg of cannabis, with a total estimated market value of Rs12 lakh.

The arrests were made following actionable intelligence, leading to the capture of Mohsin Mansuri and Shahbaz. These two individuals are suspected of smuggling drugs from other states and districts to Indore, Dhar, and Dewas, where they were distributing the illegal substances.

Mohsin, a known habitual offender, has at least six serious criminal cases registered against him in Dhar district. Both Mohsin and Shahbaz had been evading arrest related to cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in Indore.

According to Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya, the police team acted on a tip-off regarding the duo’s whereabouts in Ajmer, Rajasthan. The officers swiftly located the suspects near a hotel. Upon seeing the police, the accused attempted to flee but were apprehended after a brief chase.

The authorities continue to investigate the drug trafficking network, aiming to curb the spread of narcotics in the region.
