CONESUS – A 29-year-old Mount Morris woman, Nicole Rought, has been charged with grand larceny following an investigation into the theft of cash and personal items from a Conesus residence, according to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
Rought was arrested on December 18 and charged with third-degree grand larceny. The charges are the result of an investigation that began on November 12, when deputies responded to a reported larceny at a Conesus home around 10 a.m. Upon arrival, law enforcement learned that cash and personal items had been stolen.
The investigation indicates that Rought stole approximately $5,800 worth of items from the residence on November 11. After her arrest, Rought was processed by Central Booking deputies at Livingston County Jail.
She was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part by Town of Mount Morris Justice David Provo, who released Rought on her own recognizance, as the offense did not meet the criteria for bail under the state Justice Reform Act. Rought is set to appear in Town of Conesus Court on January 22 to answer the charges.
At her arraignment, Rought was represented by the Livingston County Public Defender’s Office, and the District Attorney’s Office also participated.
