The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, South West Zone, arrested three individuals involved in the possession and sale of illegal narcotics. Authorities seized six grams of cocaine, 15 grams of MDMA, two LSD blotters, and other drug-related materials, amounting to Rs 3.35 lakh in value.
The arrested suspects include drug peddlers Solomon Susai Raj (33), Shaik Ghouse (34), and drug consumer K. Mahesh (25). Police revealed that Solomon Susai Raj, a Hyderabad native, had a history of drug use and trafficking. He had been arrested multiple times for drug-related offenses, including a previous 2021 arrest by the Ameerpet Excise police and a 2023 arrest under the NDPS Act, which led to his incarceration in Cherlapally jail.
While imprisoned, Raj met Shaik Ghouse, who was also incarcerated for a ganja-related case. Upon their release, Raj continued his illicit activities, purchasing narcotics from suppliers in Bengaluru and Goa and selling them in Hyderabad. On December 21, Raj and Ghouse were apprehended in Amberpet while attempting to sell drugs to Mahesh, a known drug user.
The Task Force team, in collaboration with the Amberpet police, executed a successful raid and arrested the trio. Police are further investigating their network and potential involvement in larger drug trafficking operations.
