In a major breakthrough, the Central Zone Task Force team and Domalguda Police have arrested a gang of 12 members involved in a meticulously planned robbery at the residence of Ranjeet Ghorai in Domalguda on December 12. The robbery, which targeted precious gold, silver, and brass ornaments worth Rs1.2 crore, was orchestrated by none other than Indrajit Ghorai, the younger brother of the victim, Ranjeet Ghorai.
According to the Hyderabad Police Commissioner, C.V. Anand, the crime was carried out during the early hours of December 12 when the gang, led by Indrajit, broke into Ranjeet’s house and looted a significant amount of valuables. The police quickly launched an investigation and apprehended all 12 members of the gang.
The authorities revealed that Indrajit Ghorai, who had inside information about the family’s valuables, masterminded the robbery. His brother, Ranjeet, had been unaware of the plan. After executing the robbery, the gang members quickly dispersed with the stolen ornaments, leaving no immediate trace behind. However, following a series of intensive investigations and intelligence gathering, the police successfully traced the culprits.
The arrested individuals were found to be in possession of the stolen goods, including gold, silver, and brass ornaments, which were worth an estimated Rs1.2 crore. The police have seized the stolen items and are in the process of conducting further interrogations to determine the full extent of the gang’s activities.
Police Commissioner C.V. Anand confirmed that the arrest of the gang members was a significant achievement in curbing organized crime in the city, and assured the public of further steps to prevent such crimes in the future.
