Sunny Vang and Lee Xiong Arrested on Drug Charges and Child Neglect

On Friday afternoon, at approximately 1:25 p.m., officers from the Cameron Police Department responded to a call for assistance from the Missouri Division of Family Services at the home of Sunny Vang and Lee Xiong. A local bus driver had reported a disturbing incident involving Xiong, who was allegedly found asleep in the nude with a child sitting on his lap. This tip led investigators to visit the residence.

Upon arrival, authorities heard a toddler crying and discovered the child wandering around without a diaper. Vang was found asleep in the garage. When awoken, she admitted to leaving the child unsupervised and under the influence of narcotics.

Vang told investigators that she had left the toddler alone with a bowl of rice while she and Xiong both fell asleep for about two hours. Both individuals were tested for narcotics, and the results came back positive for methamphetamine.

As of the following Sunday, Vang remained in custody with a $50,000 bond, while Xiong, who was on parole, was held on a $100,000 bond.
