Two Arrested in Town of Milton After Theft/Burglary Investigation

Two Arrested in Milton, Wisconsin After Theft/Burglary Investigation

Two individuals, Harland Hunter, 43, and Rachel Lyngen, 52, were arrested on December 18 following an investigation into a theft and burglary in the Town of Milton. The incident was reported to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office on December 1, prompting an extensive investigation by Sheriff’s Office Investigators.

The investigation led to the identification of the suspects, who were taken into custody after a search warrant was executed at a residence in Black River Falls, located off Hawk Island Rd. During the search, law enforcement officials discovered several items of stolen property, methamphetamine, and firearms.

In addition to charges related to the theft and burglary, Hunter and Lyngen face charges for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The Jackson County District Attorney’s Office will handle these additional charges.

At the time of the incident, Hunter was under supervision by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for felony bail jumping, while Lyngen was out on bond from Winona County, MN, for methamphetamine-related charges. Both suspects have been transported to the Buffalo County Jail.
