Brandon Prouse Sentenced to Over 20 Years for Wichita Robbery

Prouse pleads guilty to aggravated robbery linked to 2022 double homicide

A 23-year-old Wichita man, Brandon Prouse Jr., faces more than 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated robbery in connection with a shooting that resulted in the deaths of two people nearly three years ago.

On Nov. 1, the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office announced that Prouse was sentenced to 216 months (18 years) for the robbery, along with an additional 74 months (six years and two months) for violating probation on two prior charges.

This plea comes after a co-defendant, Justin Macormac, was sentenced in September to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 71 years. Macormac had pleaded guilty to first-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, attempted second-degree murder, and two counts of criminal discharge of a firearm.

The case stems from a tragic incident in February 2022, when Macormac shot and killed Bonnie Galloway and Connor O’Callahghan in a shed located in the 2200 block of South Erie in south Wichita. Police said the victims had been living in the shed at the time of the shooting.

According to the DA’s Office, Prouse was present during the evening of the shooting alongside Macormac and the victims.
