JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) – Two people were arrested in Jackson County early on Monday, Dec. 2, after drugs, including LSD, were found during a traffic stop.
According to Sheriff Tim Morse, at around 12:30 a.m., a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy pulled over a 2010 Hyundai Sonata near 150th and Q. Roads. During the stop, the deputy observed what appeared to be LSD inside the vehicle. The driver, 28-year-old Ryan Michelle Laiku Schommer of Iola, allegedly resisted arrest, leading to a brief struggle.
Schommer was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on several charges:
Possession of LSD
Possession of a hallucinogenic drug
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Battery on a law enforcement officer
Interference with law enforcement
Driving while suspended
The passenger, 35-year-old Jeffrey Scott Wilson of Grove, Oklahoma, was also arrested and booked on charges of:
Possession of LSD
Possession of a hallucinogenic drug
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Both individuals are currently in custody at the Jackson County Jail.
