Two Women Arrested in Connection to Theft Ring at Parallel Mountain Sports in Olympic Valley

Clara Michelson and Tatyana Zhukovsky Accused of Stealing Over $1,500 in Goods

Placer County authorities arrested two women in connection to a theft ring targeting Parallel Mountain Sports in Olympic Valley. Clara Michelson, 68, of Hillsborough, and Tatyana Zhukovsky, 68, of San Francisco were apprehended on December 2 for allegedly stealing items totaling over $1,500.

The thefts occurred on July 22, August 19, and November 25, with each incident captured on surveillance cameras. The women were identified when a deputy recognized their vehicle on Highway 89, and after stopping the car, the deputy confirmed they were the same individuals seen in the footage.

Both women were arrested and booked into the Auburn Jail on charges of grand theft and conspiracy to commit a crime. Authorities are asking anyone who may have been a victim of similar crimes to contact the Placer County Sheriff’s Office North Lake Tahoe Investigation Unit at (530) 581-6320.
