Alexander Darnell Arrested Again for Additional Vehicle Burglaries

19-year-old faces higher bond, now linked to more burglaries

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Alexander Darnell, 19, has been arrested once again in connection with a series of recent vehicle burglaries. Darnell, initially apprehended for motor vehicle theft, burglary, and drug possession offenses, was detained on Tuesday. His first arrest included charges of vehicle theft, burglary, and possession of narcotics, with a bond set at $19,000.

Darnell was previously linked to around 25 motor vehicle burglaries in the Manhattan area over the last few weeks. However, on December 13, 2024, he was arrested again, this time in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Authorities added eight more counts of vehicle burglary to his charges, along with an additional charge of possessing narcotics. Following this second arrest, his bond was raised to $32,000. As of now, Darnell remains in custody.
