Dammy Krane Accuses Davido of Orchestrating His Arrest
Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has made serious allegations against fellow artist Davido, claiming that the popular artist was behind his recent arrest. According to Krane, the arrest was orchestrated out of jealousy over his success. The singer turned to social media to accuse Davido of influencing the police to detain him illegally, alleging that Davido framed him in a fabricated crypto scam.
In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Krane stated, “If anything happens to me @davido should be held responsible.” He went on to accuse Davido of paying the police to arrest him by submitting false reports linking him to a scam involving the payment platform, Flutterwave.
Krane further alleged that the arrest was part of a scheme to sabotage his career. “Oppressor @davido has paid them to arrest me. They wrote a petition lying that I am into flutterwave and crypto scam just to arrest me. This is how they keep using bad cops to spoil the name of the police,” he wrote.
Despite Krane’s claims, Davido has denied any involvement, calling the accusations baseless. The Afrobeats star stated that he has no intention to harm Krane’s career and wished him well.
The tension between the two artists dates back to 2023, after Krane accused Davido of owing him money, a claim that led to a war of words. Davido dismissed Krane’s allegations, labeling him as ungrateful. Since then, Krane has continued to publicly criticize Davido, even accusing him of being involved in the death of his friend, Tagbo Umeike, who tragically passed away in 2017 under controversial circumstances.
The ongoing feud has now reached a boiling point, with veteran fuji musician KWAM 1 (Wasiu Ayinde) urging the two to reconcile, calling for peace during a recent live performance. As of now, the full truth behind Krane’s arrest remains unclear, but it’s evident that the rivalry between the two artists continues to escalate.
