Nicole Ann Moldehauer, 26, was arrested after surveillance footage linked her to a porch theft in Eden Magnolia Village.
According to the Wildwood Police Department, Moldehauer is accused of stealing a brown and beige wicker patio bench valued at $330 from a home in the community. The theft was captured on a Ring surveillance camera, and similar incidents had also been reported in the area.
Investigators obtained additional footage from The Villages Technology Solutions Group, which showed Moldehauer driving a blue 2022 Nissan Kicks with what appeared to be the stolen bench visible in the back seat. Police said she matched the suspect seen in the original footage.
Moldehauer later appeared for an interview at police headquarters but was unable to explain the presence of the stolen item in her vehicle. Her parents told investigators they had seen the bench at her home but were unaware of where it came from.
During the investigation, officers also discovered Moldehauer in possession of crack cocaine. She was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. She was later released after posting a $6,000 bond.
