A man accused of robbing a bank in Monroe County, Pennsylvania has been taken into custody, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Authorities said Johnathan Berrios, 33, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, was arrested Tuesday without incident. He was arraigned on multiple charges, including robbery, terroristic threats, theft by unlawful taking, and simple assault.
Police said the incident occurred around 10:26 a.m. Saturday at a Citizens Bank branch located at 108 Erin Lane in Chestnuthill Township, Pennsylvania. Investigators said the suspect approached a teller and handed over a note demanding money.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV that did not have a registration plate, according to authorities.
Berrios is currently being held at the Monroe County Correctional Facility as the case moves through the court system.
