Faridabad police have arrested two individuals for allegedly stealing around 2,110 kg of copper, a pick-up vehicle, and other goods from a factory, after holding a security guard hostage.
The accused were apprehended at Faridabad Railway Station while attempting to flee to Bihar. Authorities recovered all stolen items, including 2,110 kg of copper, two LED televisions, and a pick-up truck, with a total estimated value of Rs25 lakh.
The incident took place on the night of November 23 at the Trikuta Metals plant in Sector 24, Faridabad. An FIR was filed at Mujesar police station following a complaint from the company.
ACP (Crime) Varun Dahiya confirmed that the crime branch arrested Sandeep Suman (42) and Suraj (39), both from Munger district in Bihar. Interrogation revealed that Sandeep Suman masterminded the robbery, while Suraj assisted in executing the plan.
Police investigations are ongoing to determine if the accused were involved in similar robberies and to uncover any additional accomplices.
