Nicholas Miller was sentenced to 3.25 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections, followed by five years of consecutive probation, for his involvement in an organized retail theft and trafficking operation, according to the Arizona attorney general’s office.
In February, Miller pleaded guilty to two counts of Fraudulent Schemes and Artifices and one count of Illegally Conducting an Enterprise. Authorities said the criminal enterprise involved approximately $2 million in stolen merchandise and targeted businesses in Tucson and Phoenix.
Officials reported that Miller was paid $450,000 to ship stolen merchandise to a location in New York. He has been ordered to pay $75,000 in restitution to the victims.
Attorney General Kris Mayes stated, “We will not tolerate organized retail theft enterprises that steal from our businesses and communities,” emphasizing the seriousness of coordinated theft operations.
