Nellore: Police arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with a chain snatching case reported in Pogathota on Monday.

The accused has been identified as Ch. Srinath, a resident of Surayapalem village in Podalakur mandal of Nellore district. According to police officials, Srinath holds a B.Tech degree and was employed as an engineer at a private firm.

Investigations revealed that he allegedly developed a habit of casino gaming, online betting, and gambling, which led to mounting debts. To clear his financial liabilities, Srinath is said to have resorted to criminal activities.
