Basistha Police Station have arrested four alleged habitual thieves accused of carrying out a series of thefts across different parts of the city.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Bikash Nath of Lalmati, Anil Kumar Chetri of Dhekiajuli, Ranjit Sangma of Sonapur, and Ramchandra Barman.
During the operation, police recovered various electrical items along with two stolen mobile phones from their possession. Officers also seized several tools and materials allegedly used to commit the thefts. Additionally, a numberless scooty, believed to have been used in carrying out the crimes, was taken into custody.
Police sources stated that the accused were allegedly involved in multiple theft incidents across the city. Further investigation is ongoing to determine the full extent of their activities and trace additional stolen property.
