A 32-year-old woman, Tasia Tyler, was arrested in Jonesboro after allegedly assaulting a retail employee and stealing merchandise from a local store.
On Feb. 17, 2026, the retail employee reported that Tyler attempted to leave the store with approximately $120 in merchandise without paying. When confronted, she allegedly stomped on the employee’s toes, shoved her aside, and left in a vehicle later identified as stolen, valued at around $9,800.
Police located the stolen vehicle on Feb. 20 and identified Tyler as the driver. She had an active warrant through the Arkansas Board of Parole and initially refused to provide her full name. A photo lineup later confirmed her as the suspect.
Tyler faces multiple charges, including robbery (Class B felony), theft by receiving property valued between $5,000–$25,000 (Class C felony), second-degree theft, assault, and obstructing governmental operations, which are misdemeanors.
Judge Tommy Fowler set bail at $100,000 cash or surety, imposed an ankle monitor, and issued a no-contact order. Tyler’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 23.
