ASOTIN, Wash. — 21-year-old Genessa B. Musgrove of Lewiston is in the Asotin County Jail on a $15,000 bond following allegations that she broke into a Clarkston home and stole a vehicle and two dogs.
Musgrove faces charges including residential burglary, second-degree theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, and driving without a license. She is scheduled for arraignment Monday in Asotin County Superior Court.
Authorities say Musgrove, who had an active warrant for fourth-degree assault, stole a 2024 Subaru Crosstek and two German shepherds from a home on the 700 block of Fourth Street. She was apprehended by Clarkston police on the 300 block of 14th Street, and both the car and dogs were returned to their owner.
According to the probable-cause affidavit, Musgrove claimed she had permission to take the vehicle and dogs. However, investigators noted that entry appeared to have been made through a window, and the home showed signs of ransacking. Additional items, including clothing, cosmetics, and shoes, valued at approximately $1,000, were reported missing.
Musgrove is represented by defense attorney Randy Reed, while Deputy Prosecutor Jaime Young is handling the case for the state.
