SEAGROVE, N.C. — Corey Tyler Hussey, 26, was arrested and is being held without bond following an investigation into a stolen vehicle in Randolph County.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office reported responding on February 18, 2026, to Jugtown Road after a vehicle theft was reported. Deputies initially searched for the suspect and vehicle but were unable to locate either.
Following an investigation, a magistrate issued a warrant charging Hussey with felony larceny of a motor vehicle. On February 21, deputies located him hiding at a residence on Hussey Williams Road in Seagrove. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center without bond.
During a search of the residence, deputies recovered a firearm and drug paraphernalia. Additional charges were filed, including felony possession of a firearm by a felon and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Hussey was served on these charges with no bond.
His first appearance in Randolph County District Court was scheduled for February 23, 2026.
