BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas — A man has been arrested for allegedly stealing cattle in Brazos County, according to the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were notified of a potential cattle theft on Dec. 22, 2025, and determined that 10–12 head of cattle had likely gone missing in the days prior. During the investigation, some of the cattle were discovered to have recently been sold in Brazos County.

The owner, accompanied by deputies, located two calves at the sale site, which were identified as his property. The seller was identified as Kaleb Roberson, 25. Law enforcement obtained a warrant and arrested Roberson on charges of theft of livestock under $150,000.

The BCSO reminded ranchers and property owners to register their livestock and equipment through the HEART (Help End Agriculture and Ranch Theft) Program, which provides unique identification numbers to help track and recover stolen property.
